I have decided to attempt to create 4 different foodscapes based off the seasonal fruits,vegetables and possibly meals of the time.
- Spring
- Summer
- Autumn
- Winter
Then taking 3 photographs of each at different times of day, morning, noon and night.
Ideas for the actual Foodscape -
One idea I had which I though could be quite interesting was a swamp or marshland made from cooked spinach, broccoli and asparagus. Possibly for the summer shoot.
Another was attempt to create a mountain range from various potatoes and other such fruit and veg.

Lighting Plan & Ideas
As for the lighting set up for my Foodscape shoots the idea was to replicate the sun. Well not the sun but using lighting to replicate its affects.
By using a single tungesten light source in various locations to show times of day. Creating a sunset scene could be very interesting aswell.
On top of that I believe I will have to use a fill light of some description in order to illuminate the background.
Obviously flash will be used to sharpen and fill the foodscape.
As for apature I think it will be quite sharp somthing along the lines of F/11.
Lens wise I think a 55/35mm or 80/50mm lens to get the most detail.

Preliminary Idea -
Foodscapes -
This studio shoot is based around the inanimate object, essentiall still life. While personally I am not strong when it comes to the studio or still life photography I have had what I think is a rather creative idea.
I shall be creating a 'Foodscape' which is a landscape constructed entirely from food stuffs. This type of work was made famous by Photographer Carl Warner who will also be my main source of inspiration and research for this project.
While I realise it will be a difficult feat to create a decent photograph landscape from food will be difficult I will be doing a few test runs before hand.
As for the photographs working as a sequence my thoughts where to use seasonal fruit and veg to create various landscapes, thus leading back to the title 'Calander'. However I also realise that creating 4 different foodscape could also be highly taxing and difficult to construct, let alone transport.
Finally studio lighting will be difficult as the heat of the lights could melt, wilt or damage the foodscape.
